Just a small inverter install I did over the weekend

This is the flexible 4 gauge wire I used

Here's where the main is coming in

Test fit

Running the wire and adding ends (trailer hitch for scale : ) )

Bringing it together

Mounting it down

Cleaned up my wiring

Calling it a day.. woohoo!

yes, it is gfci.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe you are referring to the item in the 1st, 4th,and 9th image - That is my amp for my radio.

Reason I was showing that is because I have a 0 gauge main coming in there that has a 150amp breaker at the battery. From there, the 0 gauge splits to 2 x 4 gauge wires. One to the amp and the other to the inverter. Both have their own fuse in the clear block next to the amp.

This particular one surges to about 865watts. Your nutrabullet is 600 watts right?

I think it would...heck, I'd try it.

Stock alternator - stock battery.. (hides under desk)

I would like to change all of that, but at this point it's working as is so I'm not gonna mess with it.

No need to hide, I personally think it's much to do about very little. I have two 3rd gens both with over 200K and neither one has big 3. As long as you maintain the existing system it works just fine. The addition of the inverter is only relevant if you want to use it for some thing like a refrigerator that runs all the time. If you have the engine running, even at the full 600W you will draw 50A, well below the capability of the alternator. Short bursts will be no problem for your charging system, again providing it is operating as designed.

Using it wisely is the key here. Dual batteries afford you other options, but are not absolutely necessary.

I kinda was thinking the same as I am pretty easy on my equipment. I do need to make sure I keep a check on the usage though when operating it over extended periods. Especially in cold weather. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought this would be ok as is.
