just bough a t4r, 205K miles

I just bought my first 4runner, I have been wanting one for a while and got one for practically nothing

1999 4runner limited 4 Wheel drive (top of the line right??)
205K miles

I bought it for $1000 bucks. the rear end diff was out, i replaced it from a junk yard, has been running perfect ever since (part was like $600 bucks)

I saw under the hood timing belt was done at 125K, anyone have an recomendations if i should put some money i saved into the engine or leave it as is? thanks

Also, the previous owner had a list of things from the dealership, like needed the 02 senser and cat converter replaced, there was codes that came up due to a check engine light on. However, it had been sitting for 3 months after and when i got it running there was no check engine light (still not on), and it passed smog, im astonding, any tips? thanks

Since there is a timing belt I guess you have a V6.
The timing belts need replacing every 90-100K miles, so a 205K you may want to save some $ for that.

Thanks, it needs a few other minor things, new AC unit because it has a mind of its own, new clock, needs some cosmetic attention, but i want to be under 4500 into it when finished

2000 4Runner SR5 Automatic 2WD

I'm just about to replace my timing belt due to gasket valve cover replacement...it has 179K miles on it...go figure?!!

Also, my check engine light has been on since 2005...

Just starting to get into replaceing seals, hoses, belts, basic maintenance & haven't had to do anything with truck for 102K miles...
