JUST bought a 2015 Trail Edition..

Literally just got home from the dealer 2 hours ago w/ my wife in our brand new Trail Edition T4R.. Few things right off the bat, i wanted wheels/LEDs as a start, cosmetically.

Ive been searching around the forum ever since I arrived home, and i'm unable to find a clear answer on the LED vs HID in regards to the 2015.. From my understanding it is a projector housing, so HID would be the way to go. Unfortunately I am trying to avoid having to deal w/ the ballast. Any sort of information would be greatly appreciated.

Furthermore, looking to plastidip my stock rims while attempting to sell my current tires to americas tire while they are still fresh to purchase the BFG all terrain t/a ko2.

Comments, suggestions, criticism, tips, anything would help! just a small start to what will eventually come to fruition!

You could get a PnP HID kit and put them in. The projectors are for a halogen bulb not an HID bulb so you will get stray light. It won't be as bad as a reflector housing. If you want to do a proper HID setup you will have to swap the projector, the buckets are different shapes.

As for LEDs there are some fancy bulbs on the market and a couple of people have tried them. One member actually did the Corolla LED housing retro, so it can be done.

I'm looking into purchasing LED's from Vleds. I can't stress enough how much I would like to avoid HIDs lol. Also, retrofitting or swapping any of the housing is currently out of the question.
