Just Found

Yep that is now mine..havent seen him on here for a while.

Ha, you're right. Just heard from him that he sold it 3 months ago. I guess it's been a while since I've talked to him. Also, HOJeepster moved a couple of days earlier so you won't be able to see it in person like i mentioned. :ybrick: you could always PM him and ask for close up pics like ARK provided.

I guess the only thing you can see in person is my Perkins rack. my bad.

Haha, it's all good...I have a version to look for now. He'll yeah I'd like to see the Perkins and the other goodies you've accomplished.

Call me crazy, but my main concern with the light mounted so low would be water crossings and such? Any input in regards to this?

I was understanding that these light bar are weather proof...able to be dipped, buried, banged up and still keep shining bright. Perhaps there are differences in the term "abuse" but I believe they hold up to punishment.

It really depends on how well sealed the lights are and their intended use.

Here is a test from last year that reviews Halogen/HID/LED lighting available at the time. It includes output, impact resistance and ability to be submerged in water: http://www.lightforce.net.au/images/pages/4WD%20161%20LR2.pdf

Great article...there are a lot of options out there and they keep getting better and better...Looking forward to adding some lights sooner than later!

Got the bumper color matched and installed...oh, I've had the Perkins Performance Rack and LED on for 2 months too...that thing can throw some light!

Yeah I thought it was a typo when we first looked at it. It's still immaculate and only has past 29k miles now. Should last a good while...

Client Validation

This is the Waag brush guard mine came with. I loved the look of it. I hit a deer at 50+mph and it killed the deer instantly. Full size doe. The damage was limite to cosmetics (bumper, grill, headlights, fenders, etc.). The fenders were replaced because the headlight covers snapped back and hit the corners. I always liked the look of it and I was able to mount some driving/fog lights right on.
The brush guard was connected with 4 brackets and saved my radiator and everything else mechanical in the front of the engine. The brackets got bent so I removed it. I plan on straightening them out and adding a lick of paint and putting it back on one day. This thing saved my runner from being totaled. It was in the shop for 5 days. Now it looks brand new.
Look into these, I give them a thumbs up.

I appreciate the WAGG validation but I ended up spending a couple more bucks with a group deal last fall and bought a Shrockworks front bumper. So far I'm overly pleased with the results. It should stand up to the abuse it has plans for.

This last weekend I leveled my ICON suspension since the install of the SW bumper and I essentially went 4 times around to put me at 38.125" from ground to fender up front and held the 39.125" from ground to fender out back to hold a modest rake. First test drive was great, actually, nothing changed aside from feeling a little taller...after a day of use, the DS front end now has an interesting clicking/clump noise that occurs when the tires meet irregularities in the road (bumps). The performance feels the same but this noise is annoying/alarming. Has anyone experienced this before? It almost sounds like the Icon reservoir 90* elbow that feeds the shock is hitting the top hat of the shock tower...but I don't think it is this....and why only on one side? Any help will be appreciated.

So this noise only started after you leveled your Coilovers. are you seeing any wear marks on any component from touching each other? all bolts are tight, right? does the sound get louder when the suspension loads and unloads on larger obstacles? I've had multiple noises on mine but never after adjusting the coilovers.

Correct, the noise only started after the adjustment...however, not immediately after. I did a loop of 50 miles, let it sit, the next morning I noticed the noise...I see a little wear (dust removed from coils) from the reservoir hose to the shock itself but that was easy to move the hose off the coil. My inner fender "could" be the culprit as it's just sitting in the SW bumper shrouds...but I couldn't imagine that I would hear it on the inside. I'll attempt a larger obstacle to see if the noise becomes louder. Bolts will be checked too but I wouldn't assume them to be terribly loose...A double check will warrant that true or not though. I don't think it has been lifted out of the range Icon suggests after only 4 rotations but the thought has crossed my mind...

Seems like a sweet low mileage find, enjoy! I'd look into Avid lightbars. Though they are light bars, they attach to the frame and seem pretty solid, I'm a fan.

Bringing this thread back from the dead! I'm at 105k miles now. I've done the TB, WP, thermostat et Al and have rebuilt my Icon coilovers... she's running great and still makes me smile! I just got a side exit Gibson exhaust I'm throwing on...I need a new gasket befote its buttoned up, but I couldn't resist some open dump braps!

open exhaust before Gibson Exhaust is fully installed... - YouTube
