I hope the LTS pads are better suited to our rigs than the Super Dutys are. I had the SDs and they had very little stopping power when you first applied the brakes. Then they were awesome except when the right (for me) would grab better and the rig would pull hard to the right. I pulled them off and installed the Ceramic pads from O'Reilly's.

I heard good things about the LTS pads. But i will report back when i get them in and again after break in.

I just replaced mine with Wagner thermo quiets. So far so good. Let us know how the hawks work for you.

I've same setup: EBC 3GD front rotors and Hawk LT pads all around. You'll love it. My opinion after 6 month of driving: Rotors - great casting and perfect break-in but black zinc coating is weak (i painted mine black with brake caliper paint after coating started fading and little rust develop), Pads - solid and consistent but compound little soft (fast wear) which might reflect on lifespan. GL

I'm pretty sure that the black coating is intended to come off as soon as you start using your brakes. It remains where the pads don't make contact to protect the metal, but the pads keep the rotors clean over time. Just like on any vehicle, the rotors will develop surface rust quickly (like washing your car and not moving it for a while), but just a touch of the brakes cleans them up. I'd be curious to see what the paint has done to your pads.

C-mon Doozi, give me a break, would you? I was talking about hub area of the rotor not contact surface. But even if you got paint on contact surface it'll burn off at when brakes applied. And yes I know all about Fe2-O3nH2O on Iron Rotor surface that makes contact with pad when H2O, O2 and Fe interact after wash.

I hope you aren't painting the rotor where the pads ride. This paint will start to gum up the pads.

Hey... your wording wasn't exactly clear on that and you never know what you're going to run into on the internet! I'm probably not the only one that thought that you might have painted the entire rotor. I just wanted to point it out in case paint on the pad surface created an unsafe condition. Plus, I was on my phone and didn't see how many posts you had. It's all good!
Ah... see... even Gerdo has concerns about what you were painting!

How do you like those rotors? I was thinking of pairing those with Hawk HPS pads at first, but changed my mind to Centric.

The pins are even more stuck on this side and it rounded the tip of the pin so when I did get it lose I would have to file the pin down. My dad has a buddy that works at a local shop and he said he can do it for around 100$
