Just installed my Rigid Industries grill and led bar

I think it looks great and the light output is probably insane. I just have a problem (as a lifelong cheap bastard) with the cost of the Rigid grill. The upper grill and light are over $1000 (MSRP). I am very aware of the concept regarding "you get what you pay for" except that I bought/installed a Grillcraft upper, lower, and two 20" LED bars, plus harnesses for less than $700.

Car is in Houston and there are quite a few good shops for tuning. I have uprev and they aren't that far up in Austin so I was thinking of just taking it there.
It's the SI blower so the car the kit came off of was putting down 431hp and 380ish tq. I spent close to a year researching before I pulled the trigger on the kit so I have a pretty good understanding of what needs to be done. if I do it I am going to install it myself and have it tuned at a shop. I'm leaning pretty heavily toward keeping it all these days. It's all paid for I really have no good reason to sell it.

Kudos to you for the savings, def a wise move. I haven't seen anyone else with the grill so that got me going. I ordered the led bar separately from amazon for $420 plus I had a gift card from there for $100 from Christmas so it made sense for me. The quality is def there, the grill is real solid and brackets for the bar are built in.

Did you screw the Rigid grill to the painted OEM shell trim or to the OEM black inner liner of the shell that you had cut?

I screwed mine to the black inner liner and that makes the Rigid grill a tough fit so that the bumper lines don't line up.

It looks like I need to redo it an maybe screw it directly to the painted part?

I blacked out the bling on my before installing. No need for douche glasses.

Alright, I trimmed back the black inner OEM piece completely and fastened the grill directly to the painted outer OEM shell. Yeah, don't do that. It mangled the fit and screwed all the tolerances. When it came time to mount the Rigid light to the grill, it would barely, barely fit and now the mounting bracket tabs are under a lot of pressure. Hopefully it holds up for the long term.

Overall impressions are that the build quality is great but the combination of GOD AWFUL instructions and VERY NARROW tolerances make for a rough fit and worries about long term stress on small parts (and the owner/operator).
