Just ordered a Trail Premium w/KDSS

After a year of research and owning a Tacoma for 6 years I just ordered and put down a deposit on a Trail Premium in classic silver with KDSS, exhaust tip and paint film.

Will be adding a viper remote start
New wheels and BFG tires
Thule roof rack
Front window tint

Other than that she will remain stock. My taco is lifted and modded out. I Promised the wife this one will remain as is :)

Attached is my order sheet. I think I got a decent deal. Can't wait till it comes in 90-120 days from now.

Congrats. I think you got a great deal -- be even better if you didn't have to pay 2k in sales tax.

Now comes a very long 3 - 4 month wait.
 
Congrats! Like you, I ordered a '15 Trail Premium with KDSS in Super White back on Dec 7th. Thing has pretty much every option including running boards (which are immediately going off) and I added the Toyota remote start, sliding rear cargo floor and TRDPro shifter. My price after dealer and 30th Anniversary discounts, and including Virginia taxes/title/tags was right about where you are sitting.

Hope you get lucky with delivery time...I received confirmation yesterday that mine arrives on the truck next week and 1 month of anxious waiting is about to kill me!
 
congrats on your purchase! it does look like a pretty good deal and, yes, Maine taxes are the pits. "The Way Life Should Be" only goes so far...

i originally had a deposit on one with Prime years ago but had a great experience with Berlin City Auto Group; made me a deal no one else could touch.

and good luck keeping that promise to your wife... better cancel your account here asap!
 
I stay away from any dealer that does not accept a refundable deposit.

There is no reason why they should not refund you if you change your mind IMO. I know you won't but that's usually not good business practice.

A non refundable deposit to me means shady dealer practice.

Congratulation, I promised my wife the same thing. My 99 and 07 are lifted and when we bought the 11 she said your not going to lift are you.I said no we have 2 lifted already. About 3 months after we got it I had it lifted.

I ordered and installed the factory running boards after my wife had knee surgery(unrelated to entering and exiting the truck) on my ~one year old 2012 TE, then was going to remove them when here knee was all better. The knee is all better but I left the running boards on as the boards have an unexpected benefit. They are great at protecting the vehicle from parking lot door dings from inconsiderate careless people. I'll except the scratches in the clear coat from off-roading -badges of honour- but people banging their doors in to my parked TE is UN-acceptable!
 
Had a dealer call me today trying to sell me a runner...after they quoted me way to much.....they came running back...ha....I didn't tell them I already bought....waiting for their "second quote"

So Hampton told me they couldn't order me a trail premium with KDSS, because (this is verbatim):
"We can't make special orders to toyota because the 4runner is a popular vehicle and it sells pretty quick. So they make mass supplies and send them to dealerships........most dealerships will tell a customer they will order them one, but in reality they're locating one to be sent from another dealership"

Why is it so hard to find a straightforward car salesman when clearly others have ordered their 4runners?
I haven't called him out yet -- I honestly wanted to give him the Benefit of the doubt.
Perhaps the girl in Baton Rouge was right and they can't special order 4runners in this 5 state region?
I'll talk to both of their respective managers but don't expect to get a straight forward answer.
