Just ordered Supercharger

Cool. Are you planning on installing it yourself or having a shop do it?

Please post pics when you get it installed!

Good choice my friend! :thumb3: At some point definitely go the 7th injector route. It does make a world of difference (coming from a guy who ran it stock for a while) and along with the 7th definitely get a smaller pulley. URD 2.2 is what I'm running and it is awesome!

I just ordered the trd supercharger from here: COMPLETE Supercharger Kit Tacoma, 4Runner 3.4 PTR29-89020.

It looks like it has everything I need. Any advice? I am planning to run without 7th injector initially to see how things go.

Kinda can't wait for it to show up. Hope to have it installed before Thanksgiving trip to Anza Borrego.

Great upgrade. i live in san diego as well and i HAD TO HAVE the 7th injector. you will experience pinging for sure and thats not good. i suggest you get that 7th injector soon. after installing the supercharger and the 7th injector i also added the 2.2 pulley and now its all good. i do still need to dial it in with the URD software. good luck and also, hope you read up about the transmissions. some folks having slipping issues and some not. i took precaution and did a transgo upgrade for piece of mind. i didn't wanna just wait for it to burn up then fix it and cost lots more than just doing the transgo kit. theres a supercharger thread here that will help u as well.

OK. I'd rather do it right, so I ordered the 7th injector and 2.2 pulley. I'm gonna try to get the transgo kit locally and install it tomorrow. Pretty excited about this mod if ya couldn't tell.

Just go manual never worry about slipping!

Good luck with your install. If you don't mind...kind of keep track how long to it to do part of the build...mostly the S/C. I have one to install once I get my transmission taken care of. Thanks

Hopefully you ordered it from Gadget at URD. He is a very good friend of mine and did the supercharger on my old tacoma. He really knows what he is doing.

Dang dude had I of known you were in the market for a supercharger I would have sold you everything I had for 2600 plus shipping. Including the 7th and 2.2 pulley-.-

That would have saved me a few dollars. Oh well. I'm just happy to be joining the SC club shortly, and you shouldn't have any trouble selling your stuff anyway.

Well, technically yes... But only when you make it with the pedal or when it's really old or abused. For the most part though it grabs and you go. Especially with my new Marlin 1200lb kit.

Yea I know I was just joking. Thats a baby clutch, we be running 2600-3200lb ACT's on our little 4 bangers!

I got the shift kit (the transgo "reprogramming kit"), and the installation kind of intimidated me. I'm having my local transmission shop do the work instead. Guy said my transmission is one of the cleanest he's seen. That was nice to hear. Should have the truck back tomorrow.

URD stuff (7th injector and 2.2" pulley) will be here on Monday. SC should be here on Friday.

Gonna take next Wednesday off work, and get after it in the garage. Any local guys interested in the process are welcome to come by. Just send me a PM.

Frothing!

I have been running mine on 93 pump gas since day one with no ping at all... I think it depends on how you drive it. It is easier for me because I am manual so if I want to go I make sure that I down shift before pegging her. This way there is no detonation while it is bogged down. I haven't noticed any at WOT, but I also don't live on the red line much lol.
