Just purchased a 16 SR5 Premium with the Xp package

We are really happy with it. My wife loves it so thats all that matters really.

But i do have some questions.

Roof rack - which brand and why?

Cargo mat for third row?

light bar mounting options.

Nice looking 4Runner, like the xp package.

For the roof rack.
I like the look of the oem rails.
If you want to hold more weight, then I would go with Yakima.
I have used Yakima cross bars to hold 2 Kayaks and mountain bikes.
The heavier duty cross bars work better for roof baskets if you hold more weight. Thule works as well.

For 3rd row floor, Toyota only makes 1st and 2nd row.
WeatherTech makes them.

For lighting, I have heard of rigid industries.

What are your intended uses for the rack? Do you a full rack replacement or just to add more substantial cross bars? This will help people with giving you suggestions that best fit your needs.

The main options people go with for cargo mat are weathertech, husky, the Toyota OEM, or Canvasback. All are good quality but again it comes down to need. Some members (@itsdchz) on this forum also found a little loophole (with a lot of help from [MENTION=119811]T4RVAN[/MENTION] to get the awesome Canadian version (see link below)

Thanks, and yes you are correct. My AO is a little bit all over right now. I am preparing to move to italy so I am between Montgomery and oneonta till its plane ride time. Naturally, the wife had the runner and I'm driving a 2001 Dodge Ram on 35's over 300 miles every weekend right now

Update:

Roof Rack is out from now. Its just not needed.. I have a hitch basket that will work for what i need.

Suspension is my main concern. I do not want a lift but I would like some high quality shocks for a better ride and to handle some extra weight from caping gear.

I am going to do the light bar behind the grill too... Not sure how long it is going to take to gain the courge to cut that billet grill....

May do a CAI.. Not 100% yet

I think that is a bout all I want on it for now. We will be in Italy so this 4runner will be for family trips and lots of those will bet in the mountain and some with be backpacking trips. Thanks for all the input guys! I look forward to where you think i should go with suspension.

Canvasback Cargo Liners

Congrats on the new rig!

Regarding the 3rd row cargo mat, I recommend the Canvasback. We had the OEM all-weather cargo mat made for the 3rd row, but it did not allow us to put the 3rd row up without trying to cram it into the remaining area. The Canvasback's are nice for a few reasons:

1) Has a zipper down the center so you can easily pull up 1 or both 3rd row seats
2) Also provides coverage on the back of the 2nd row, so provides full cargo area coverage when the 2nd row is folded down
3) You can request to have the cargo hooks exposed at no additional cost

I need to stop by Serra but I am afraid that they will hassle me if I ask for a specially allocated Trail Premium with KDSS. These seem non-existent here. All I am allowed to build on the website is one with the 'XP' package.

Go to Hoover Toyota instead. They will get you what you want without trying to push an XP on you.

We bought the exact same vehicle last week.

Already put HID's in the low beams, LED's in the high beams and waiting on the tail as turn harness to do the backup light LED mod.
