Just saw this on Weather.com- 5th Gen shown damaged from Mississippi Tornados

I was just checking the weather channel online and I saw what appeared to be a 5th Gen (just like mine) captured in a thumbnail picture used to label the video. I click the video link and at 51 seconds you can see what is left of someones 5th Gen SR5. The hair on the back of my neck stood up when I saw the damage in the video. It appears that the cars were just randomly placed in the field.

I just hope and pray no one was hurt.

The exterior looked crunched and mangled but that the framie seemed to have held well.

I caught up with some storm chasers last year at truck stop in Oklahoma and they were all oogling my 4Runner. One of them had an FJ that had some nifty modifications. He had racks that extended out over the windows and windshield to protect from flying debris.

I've thought extensively since then about how I'd modify my truck if I got into chasing here in the future (I'm not that far down south in Texas).

At some point I will after the kids get older and I can spend a little time on the road.
