JVC KW-XR810 install post mortem on a 2004 SE w/JBL

I had the same problem with it stopping after a few seconds. When it does this, click on the music or iPod App on your iPod/iPhone. The following should display:

At the bottom in small print, click on the little arrow and box to the right of "JVC"

Now the following should display:

Select "dock connector" instead of "JVC Unit" I know this sounds wrong, but it works, I don't know why.
The music should start playing as soon as you click "dock connector"

Wire the AMP Remote ON (blue with white stripe) wire coming from the radio to the "power antanna" wire on the car harness adapter. This wire was blue on my NON JBL Metra car harness adapter.

That will power up the antanna booster, and the reception will be better.

If you want to use both antannas, I have the y adapter you need brand new in the packaging. PM me.

One thing I am frustrated at, everyone says they hear echo's when I call via BT.

I am sure I am going to have to tweak, I thought maybe even put a foam thing around the mic. The TATO has DIP switch gain settings, the head unit has gain settings.

Anyone have this problem after installed this unit?

Echo only at times. Try adjusting the gain while in conversation and ask the person you are talking to which sounds best.
