Sucks! Could've been worse though

Get started on the F-150 tank swap, with a thorough right-up of course :naughty:

Tank swap parts are coming together.. Waiting on money to buy the actual tank. I'll have a full write-up when the time comes

Not as bad as I expected it to be. Any pics away from the tree?

I tried to get pics of the dent and scuffs but it was so hard to tell with the amount of dust and dirt on the truck. Then, it poured rain on our way out. I'll try and get some tomorrow. I also broke both my passenger window vent visors. They're still hanging on though.

In this situation, no.. In other situations like this, it can.

My biggest problem wasn't where the tree was resting, it was getting off the tree. I couldn't go backwards without ripping my mirror off, so I had to go front which gave me the problem of denting/scraping the entire passenger side. I was lucky enough to have a friend winch me to the left and up the hill, which gave me enough boost to get off the tree, but I still tagged the fender flare and part of the rear quarter panel. That's where most of the damage is.

I did pivot around objects such as tress and rocks with my previous sliders to get better angles and such. They do come in handy for a lot more than you would think.

So after waiting almost 2 weeks, I finally got my Scangauge II. My package got lost with USPS. How in the hell they can manage to deliver all the CRAP to my mailbox every day but can't keep up with a big ass package will be unknown... Anyways, I plan on mounting it somewhere else. For now it will sit here.

Tackling my TRD Trans Cooler tonight. Am going on an all day and overnight expedition trip this weekend through one of our biggest National Forests, so I want to make sure I'm not leaving myself vulnerable to milkshake. This is the longest drought we've had here in Arkansas since 1954 and it's scorching hot through the day. I will have plenty of pics when I get back.

On a side note, I've set aside the F150 tank swap for now. I'm in desperate need for tires. We all know those aren't cheap (especially those running 35's).

So this past weekend I set out on a 2 day 100 mile overland/exploration trip through the Ozark National Forest here in Arkansas. Click the link for our detailed route. It was hot, dry and dusty to say the least... did I mention hot? It was fun though and we all had a blast. I really wish we weren't in such a drought right now though. It hasn't been this bad since 1954 I believe. There wasn't much water left anywhere. Where there was, it was hot and stagnant. There were 10 vehicles but 2 didn't stay the night. On to the pics. I may post more when others post theirs.

Glad to see y'all had a good trip, the CO members are a great group. I think I will hold off till fall, 100 degrees during the day and 85 at night is a little warm for tent camping. I'll stick to Lake Ouachita for summer activities LOL :fishing:

I don't blame you. They called us crazy for camping. Some of the locals looked at us like we were insane lol. Luckily, I sleep in my truck with a nice fan!

That looks like an awesome trip! Sorry to hear that everything was all dried up but it still looks like a lot of fun.

I wish it wasn't so hot and humid here right now, i would love to get out more but it is just a miserable time to camp unless you have an air conditioner...

Build looks great, and appears to be working really well too, even with the slick Xterrains!

Questions about your re-gear: Are you still around 14 mpg, or did you see any fuel mileage change, good or bad? And do you wish you would've gone 5.29's instead of 4.88's? Seemed like you might not be overly impressed with 4.88's by your comment of "not much of a jump from 4.30 to 4.88..."

Just curious...I'm considering a re-gear so my Runner will hold overdrive at interstate cruising speeds instead of all the crazy downshifting to maintain speed. I know 4.88's should do this (as I'm 4.10 now with 285/70R17's), but don't want to spend good money twice. Thanks in advance.
