Well, Barnwell Mountain took a toll on me. I had a blast at the Jamboree though and got to meet some cool cats from the forum. On the first day I exploded another cv. I don't know what number that makes it now. Probably 8 or 9. On the second day I was trying to do the hard line on Twister and my engine fan started making funny noises. It stopped after a few seconds and I thought nothing more of it. I attempted the obstacle some more and after nearly blowing our my rear side glass I gave up and backed off. As we were going to hit more trails I realized my coolant tempt was at 270! I pulled over and put it in park right as the line to the radiator blew off. Upon further inspection my fan clutch seized up and fan quit working. The pressure also broke off a good chunk of the port where the hose clamps too. Left just enough to pipe clamp the hose down and we filled it back up with my spare coolant and water. The rest of the day and one the way home the truck ran hot. High 230's. So I decided, it's time for a new radiator and fan clutch. I'm really hoping there is no further damage. Plan to do a full transmission flush as well. Truck has been sitting in the driveway for the past couple days waiting on parts that got here today. Plan on getting everything fixed from my buddies at the dealership tomorrow. Bought a brand new oem rad and Aisin fan clutch... fml

Wheels are here!! I half ass mounted one to get an idea what it would look like. God, these things are sweet. Saturday I'm going to mount one completely and make sure it fits. I'm a little worried about the 4" backspacing and the fact the new tires have a 12.6" center section width. I might finally be able to get rid of the spacers up front but I might not get my tuck in the rear finder well anymore. Guess we'll find out.

Those walker Evans are beautiful. Congrats on the purchase. I'm with Rob though... what's your open check book secret after marriage? Or have you not tied the knot yet and its a mad dash to get everything you have ever wanted before it gets cut off like I did haha. :thumb3:

I know I am only running 33's but my wheels and adapters push my 305's out to a 2 5/8" bs on an 8 and still tuck in the rear. Might be the extended bump stops and the pivot arch but mine tuck in the rear nicely.

She wanted a ring...and next thing I knew, she was gone and a swapped Tacoma was sitting in the driveway :shrug:

But really, sucks about the fan..I hope it didn't hurt the heads when it got that hot. Any reason you didn't go for an electric Taurus fan?

Mine blew out on a tree on the 3rd day I was driving it. Took a line a little to tight to the inside and when the driver front dropped off the ledge it leaned over just enough to pop it up against the branch. Those aren't cheap to replace either. Lucky I found mine used for 50 shipped with new seal.

Hey man, sorry I missed you at Jambo, I saw you on Saturday by the pavilion messing with the cv should've stopped and said hi but we were on our way to twister coincidentally lol. and a couple times passing our camp from a fold out chair behind some beer goggles twister was a tough trail, "twisters sister" the Little side trail at the trail head made it look like cake though

lol, she's not gone yet. Whenever she buys clothes or shoes she calls it "truck parts" haha. Yea, I was all set to buy a winch when I got back home, but my truck had other plans. As for the window, it's a wonder how I haven't knocked one out yet. Thankful cus I hear they're not only expensive but a real big pita to replace.

It's cool man, I saw you around though. There was a good bunch of 3rd gen rigs there. Twister ate me up.. It's what caused all my problems with my fan clutch and stuff. I didn't try any of the other lines on twister, just the main one.

As for the window, it's a wonder how I haven't knocked one out yet. Thankful cus I hear they're not only expensive but a real big pita to replace.

They arent that bad. Took a couple hours. If it is already broken out, its easy. Just cut the seal as close as you can to the body, clean surface with alcohol, sqeeze on the urethane, andset the window. Shouldn't have to pull the inner panel to do it either. The window and seal are one piece which is why the cost is high.

As for the wife buying things, I can't say a word because I know I spend 10 times the amount on car parts Haha.
