KDSS Lift video recommendation required

Help!

I am leaving the country for a trip on Monday and while we are gone a mechanic friend is going to install my TRD pro FJ cruiser lift, Cornfed preload spacers and Dobinson KDSS specific rear coils C59-723.

I am in desperate need of a youtube and or simple step by step post for how to deal with the KDSS during this process. I have been searching and reading thread after thread but most have a lot of posts disbursed in between good information and many of the pictures are unavailable.

Could someone please provide a link to a clean and easy to follow install guide for someone who is skilled in mechanics but not necessarily familiar with our rigs? Instructions with pictures or video would be awesome!

BTW he has access to a spring compressor so I don't think he plans on using the "no spring compressor" method.


Forgot to mention, it's a 2015 Trail Premium with KDSS.

I can't take credit, but someone PDF'd the guides/photos years ago and I saved copies. I know it's not a video, but it's still pretty good.

Placing a bottle jack under the front KDSS piston makes it much easier when you disconnect/reconnect the end bracket at the LCA for each side. Manipulate the jack up and down to get it disconnected and reconnected. The top of the bracket will roll forward releasing the hook at the bottom. When reconnecting them, take your time as the bolts are very easy to cross thread.
 
I used several ratcheting straps to keep my front KDSS hydraulic ram/piston from expanding and moving out of position. I disconnected the sway bar ends and left it attached to the piston.
 
Life will much easier if you open the bypass valves 3 full turns - NO MORE; it makes moving the piston much easier.

Thank you, I found these directions in my search and they were going to be my go-to, but unless I missed something there is no link to antmans instructions that are referred to. Am I wrong?

Great! Thanks for that link as well. I remember reading that one back when the pictures still worked, too bad they are gone.

I knew this stuff was out there but I read it all 2 years ago and lost track of who posted it and where to look.

This will be a great help to my buddy.
