KDSS replacement

I have a 2010 Trail without KDSS, and was wondering if there is an aftermarket add-on that would surpass it. That way I don't feel so horrible that I got a used TE without it. Or should I just look to get a dealer to add KDSS?

First, it would cost you a bazillion (well, a lot) to have a dealer add the KDSS.
Second, there are no aftermarket "KDSS" type suspension components unless you want to pay for a one off suspension.

All is not lost though. You can put a conventional aftermarket suspension component group that will improve your on and off road performance. These components are widely available from many different vendors and everyone has their favorites. You can spend as little as $400.00 or so for Bilstein adjustable shocks to several thousand dollars for King suspension components with aftermarket UCA's and the list goes on. Will they operate like a KDSS? No. Can the performance be superior to KDSS? Absolutely.

Cheaper to trade yours in on one with if it's that important to you.

Get a good aftermarket suspension package and you'll be plenty happy with how tight it is.

Forget about it, or do an aftermarket suspension with stiffer shocks that will reduce body roll. Trading a vehicle for an option, or worse, trying to swap out OEM parts are both losing propositions.

Don't forget to order the new frame,KDSS ECU's,LCA's and rear axle as they are all different too and have different part numbers.You can probably weld fabbed brackets on your non TE frame and rear axle if you can find a KDSS local to get the measurements. The hardest part would be wiring it.More then likely the whole truck wiring harness is different too if they followed suit with the other models. We've found they are all different.

I believe the KDSS equipped T4R's have a different frame part number. Trade it in for one with KDSS if you want it that bad.

Thanks everyone, I like this idea. My main goal was to find something aftermarket suspension. I just wanted to know it wasn't the end of the world that I didn't have KDSS

Even if it was "the end of the world", I'm pretty sure your rig would still run over zombies quite effectively. (with, or without KDSS)
