I have a 2010 Trail without KDSS, and was wondering if there is an aftermarket add-on that would surpass it. That way I don't feel so horrible that I got a used TE without it. Or should I just look to get a dealer to add KDSS?
Don't forget to order the new frame,KDSS ECU's,LCA's and rear axle as they are all different too and have different part numbers. You can probably weld fabbed brackets on your non TE frame and rear axle if you can find a KDSS local to get the measurements. The hardest part would be wiring it.More then likely the whole truck wiring harness is different too if they followed suit with the other models. We've found they are all different.
Forget about it, or do an aftermarket suspension with stiffer shocks that will reduce body roll. Trading a vehicle for an option, or worse, trying to swap out OEM parts are both losing propositions.
Thanks everyone, I like this idea. My main goal was to find something aftermarket suspension. I just wanted to know it wasn't the end of the world that I didn't have KDSS
