Keeping our 05

[WVT4R05]

In 05 picked up a new 4Runner, found this site got some great ideas then kids, life and no time/money it all got put on back burner. Went to trade it in few days ago and decided to keep it considering its in great shape. So I need some help and tech advice on mods, I'm sure a lot has changed in past 8 years.

It's going to be all for looks, its the family wagon.
I'd like to make it look newer with a better stance.

I was thinking:
Smoked Headlights/TailLights, HID
Lift 2"-3"
Tires, not sure size maybe 1-2 sizes bigger
HeadUnit, something w Bluetooth and backup camera maybe

Going to re-tint the windows darker also

Smoked Headlights/TailLights, HID - blacked out head light mod, search it up, cleanest way to black out the bezels (I think)

Lift 2"-3" - Daystar 2.5/1.5 spacer lift if you don't need new suspension or plan on really going offroad

Tires, not sure size maybe 1-2 sizes bigger - 265/70/17

HeadUnit, something w Bluetooth and backup camera maybe - a lot of various opinions on this...

Going to re-tint the windows darker also - good idea

Yeah it won't go Offroad, and springs/shocks seem good so spacer lift will be fine.

I just found the headlight mod, I agree looks great.


Are the 06 factory led tail lights plug n play?

Yep. I'm running a black theme on my truck so I went aftermarket blacked out tails too and I'm very happy with them.
