Got my CBI front hitch on order, I will post a write up when I get it. I will also be doing a video of the install

just realized that one year ago today is when i picked up my truck. this past year has been fun and i have tried to make this truck my own.

in this past year i have swapped out interior lights to LED's, removed running boards, PLasti Dipped truck parts all different colors, installed Winjet yellow fog lights, installed 4.3k headlight bulbs, installed a removable plug in the console for A/C, installed footwell lights, done the map light mod(have my own writeup), just did the anytime backup camera mod, installed fumoto oil drain plug, made custom interior bike rack, and have a CBI hidden hitch in the mail. that might not be everthing i have done but all that i can think off.

in this 2nd year of owning my truck i plan to install a front mount hitch, lift it in late march or early april with fj springs and 5100's and soon work on installing my dads old CB out of the old 87 4runner they had.

this past year has been a lot of help with the few mods i have done.

i dont think i would have a lot of the stuff done if it was not for [MENTION=15785]J.A.[/MENTION] with his dash removal diagrams and wiring diagrams on his site.

and cant forget the forum stickers from [MENTION=165]momo.75[/MENTION]

got my CBI offroad front hitch yesterday, ran into a few problems but its in and almost 100%

only problems i ran into was the bumper support bolt holes did not line up with the hitch holes. a few minutes with a grinder fixed that. only problem now is i broke a bolt. going to replace it this weekend

installed winjet yellow fog lights. they are great build quality and really look amazing. only really big difference between this and stock is they dont have a reflector in the center like stock and bulb is rotated 90 degrees to what stock has. there is plenty or wire for the fog lights so its not a problem.

Those look nice! I ended up just getting yellow HIDs for the fogs + yellow films to get that same look.

I might get yellow bulbs as well to make it look a bit better when on. I have seen the films but got the housing to have something that would last longer. Also the films were not the color I liked. If anything I think I would have gotten orange tint for them

went to the park near me the first week and tested 4 low.
the curb i climbed was a railroad tie. pulled up to it and had about half an inch of space between it and the skid plate. it climbed in 4low diff open just fine, when i went to go back down i dropped it on the front skid plate.

also got a smittybilt tow hook.

plasti dip emblems and grill. emblems are clear and grill is black. still need to take the grill apart so i can take the front emblem off to do a different color.

some might know but i swapped to LED's in the running boards.

most small bulbs in Toyota is 194 bulbs.

purchased a momentary N.O. metal recessed push button switch from parts express, got a pack of 18-22g wire taps, and some old speaker wire i had. this is my end result

its a simple mod but the most time consuming part is finding a good looking button.

made my outlets always on yesterday. main reason was for charging my phone or other accessories when camping

looks kinda like this photo

and now i have another relay to go in the bin

and now POWER

side note: the LED on my backup camera mod switch now glows which i like. even the simplest of LED's can deter thieves

finished my led foot well lights using the wiring that came with the lit running boards
next thing on the list is a front mount hitch that i should be ordering before the end of the month, then a lift kit this spring

started getting creative with plasti dip. plan on doing more interior panels in red plasti dip but thats all i have so far
