Alright guys so my key just came out of the ignition when in either acc or on what would be causing this ?

Worn key and or igniton switch, hard to say which or it could be both.
Your key is worn. What you need to be aware of is that you can pull the key out and think the ignition is off, when, actually, accessories are on and you come back later to a dead battery. A new key solved the problem for me.

Thanks guys for the info, my truck isn't to high in millage terms around 170k miles on her and when I bought the truck it only came with the one grey key. How do I go about getting a master key? Do I need the original or can the dealer just go by the vin and make a new one?

Since you only have the gray (valet?) key I think you are stuck with going to the dealer to get a master made. My dealer quoted me about $130 for two keys, 3 years ago, so be prepared for some sticker shock.
If you have the black master key, you can buy key blanks on the internet, have a locksmith cut them, and then program them yourself using the attached instructions.

It's been posted several times where others have had a new key cut via the VIN at the dealer, but as mentioned it's a bit expensive, but since you don't have a master key I don't see any other way to get a master key other than at the dealer.
