key fob question

I don't have the owners manual for my '01 and random inter-webz searching didn't help too much, so here's my question for anyone that can help. The button on the fob that rolls down the rear hatch glass only seems to do just that- roll it down, but not back up. Am I missing something painfully obvious on the fob, or does the fob button actually only roll the glass down and then you have to roll it back up using the dash board button?

Mine does the same, down only.

You can also close it by putting the key in the lock on the hatch and turning it (counterclockwise, I think).
