I installed an aftermarket Commando EZ2500 (no longer in production) Remote Starter with Keyless Entry system on my 2002 4Runner. I have successfully used this system for the past 3 years and it continues to work well. However there is one feature I never installed.
The unit comes with a horn output wire. I am not a fan of the horn honking every time I lock or unlock my car. The factory keyless entry system is connected to a much more pleasant beeper to confirm that the car is locked/unlocked.
Has anyone hooked up an aftermarket remote start to this beeper instead of the horn? If so, how?
