Keyless. Entry not working

Please help anyone !! My 2011 limited with vip Toyota remote engine starter is not picking up that key is in truck? I've tried both keys and it won't let me start truck just keeps saying no key being detected thanks for any help...

Hold key next to start button, hold brake and press the start button to start your vehicle when smart key function is not working.

My 2011 was doing the same thing last week, it was the FOB batt. What ryanvk advises will work until you get a new FOB batt. Take care.
