Kickstarter deals and products

I decided to start this thread to keep an eye out for good deals on kickstarter items.

Most recently the TREDpro kickstarter was a huge hit:

I know I cant be the only guy that likes to browse kick starter for any good deals on upcoming products!

If anyone sees any good kickstater items that would benefit us, please share and post!

Not to knock Kickstarter but I have avoided them like the plague after one experience. I get really excited about items on there all the time but I almost backed a drone project that was super promising at the time 3 years ago. It had tracking and smart flight modes etc...Three years going and they still haven't shipped any or even had a full finished build to show off. I think the average contribution was 1800 or 2k. So glad I wimped out. Not some of the smaller items are intriguing.

Pretty cool thread. I backed the mat as I've wanted something like that for a while for after bike rides. And that flashlight is pretty cool too. I wouldn't go backing big projects, but these small ones work for me.

The adventure mat looks interesting. Could have used this plenty of times. I usually just use a spare set of sandals to stand on.

Kickstater from 3 or more years ago is not the same kickstarter as today. Use your credit card if you're worried about not getting a product. You can always dispute the charge. I've used kickstarter numerous time (including starting the TredPro thread), and have been a happy camper on all my early bird specials.

Hi! Daniel from the Deadman Kickstarter. I understand your concern, but I wanted to address it directly to hopefully assuage it, all the same.

We have the product today and we know it works. (We've added a few more recovery videos to out YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe5sBEjW7vdff9fhVCBUPQw) It's made, it's been field tested, and we've completed the first round of certified testing (BC Wire Rope in Anaheim, CA is load testing the assembly). We have a manufacturer in place, and we have a relatively simple product to manufacture. We're ready in all regards - we just can't afford a huge production run of several hundred.

Also, with regard to funding, Kickstarter does not assess charges until the campaign ends, and not unless we meet our funding goal. So there's no risk/hassle of being charged and having to get a refund if we don't make our goal. I know this isn't exactly the same situation as yours (above), but it also came up elsewhere as a concern.

We're ready to go, we just need some help from the outdoor community to fund the initial production run.

If you were worried about putting money toward Deadman and t not reaching its goal, it just surpassed that goal and is now going to be funded. So get in while you still can for the first set.
