Definitely a bummer but they should've backed their mistake, would've been a deal breaker for me too. Check out 4x innovations, when I have the money to get some, I plan on picking some up from them because they're good looking and only priced at $184.

Unless you plan on doing serious crawling I dont think you need square tubing, DOM should be fine. I went hrew cause I'm not planning on going crazy but its plenty strong for me

Not sure what happened with your specific deal but I have done a lot of work with Jerry (BAMF) over the years and he has always been a stand up guy to me. He cuts parts for me on his plasma table and always delivers and has always had top notch customer service. I have a high standard and very few companies or people get my recommendation but Jerry is one of them.

So you didn't get 50% off (or whatever the number was). Still getting a great product from a great guy. You get what you pay for so before you go buying something else take a good hard look at what your losing to get the next deal. I say stay with what you got!

If there happens to be an issue with the order it's easy to say f-off when your across the country. If this was a 2nd or third order and I was right down the road would he have changed the price or treated me differently?

Have you ever had to deal with metal fabricators? They aren't the most personable bunch.

I had my sliders done local at The Truck Shop in San Diego.

~ $400, out the door, installed on the vehicle.

They are pretty beefy. By the time you get those shipped for $300 and then find out it will cost $100 - $150 to have them welded on properly, the deal stops looking like quite such a good deal.

I can totally understand how you must of felt. Too bad cause I was ready to bite the bullet and get me some sliders, if I don't find a good deal come Christmas then Im going to look for a local shop to make them. With the basic proper equipment I'm sure just about any skilled metal fabricator can do a decent job

take less than a hour to make a set from tubes actually, but when you are #125 on the list, they tend to take longer to get to. just my 2 cents.

what Asaspades93 said, i don't really see the point in strength, i do think they look better but round tube is plenty strong, i have the TG DOM sliders (made with chinese steel) and they have been slammed on countless times and still strong as ever.

For those talking about how cheap the 4xI are...

They're cheaper because they're not at all put together, have only three legs, and are made of HREW (at the sub $200 price point). On top of that, figure in the time to weld all of the legs to the sliders, the plates to the legs, the gussets between plate and leg, and then the plates to the vehicle.

Unless you're not paying for labor on the install, the price for 4xI sliders installed will be VERY close to some of the more expensive sliders I'd imagine.

That said, I really like how my 4xI sliders look. Haven't really "used" them yet.

If they had back orders of 125 they'd be in fantastic shape. But I doubt that. Having used several fab shops I understand the concept all too well. Shrockworks once put me off for 12 weeks only to tell me they'd have them done in 12 weeks, REALLY? Cancelled that order.

That is why I build my own. But I tell people all the time, way easier and cheaper to buy it.

I'm probably just going to build my own, I have access to metal and some good welders. I can make them how I want and save some coin.

It was the convenience factor is why I'd buy them.
