I'm probably just going to build my own, I have access to metal and some good welders. I can make them how I want and save some coin.

It was the convenience factor is why I'd buy them.

Why don't you at least look up local fabrication shops.

Most decent shops will be able to do work off a picture along. Obviously it should be a place that has done this type of work before on a 4runner.

If they had back orders of 125 they'd be in fantastic shape. But I doubt that. Having used several fab shops I understand the concept all too well. Shrockworks once put me off for 12 weeks only to tell me they'd have them done in 12 weeks, REALLY? Cancelled that order.

That is why I build my own. But I tell people all the time, way easier and cheaper to buy it.

usually around thanksgiving/black friday jerry gets tons of orders, but other than that order list stays around 50ish. keep in mind they are not just an offroad shop, they do a lotta work for other companys, last i heard they were building cages for google's self driving car.

There really isn't any good fab shops where I'm at in Maine. Especially Toyota specific.

Anyone have any thoughts on the 4xInnovation sliders? They are only $184 for a set. Never understood why people would spend $300+ on sliders when there are cheaper ones on the market. Am I missing something here? Quality? Durability?

For those talking about how cheap the 4xI are...

They're cheaper because they're not at all put together, have only three legs, and are made of HREW (at the sub $200 price point). On top of that, figure in the time to weld all of the legs to the sliders, the plates to the legs, the gussets between plate and leg, and then the plates to the vehicle.

Unless you're not paying for labor on the install, the price for 4xI sliders installed will be VERY close to some of the more expensive sliders I'd imagine.

That said, I really like how my 4xI sliders look. Haven't really "used" them yet.

I've always liked BAMF, but the cost of shipping cross-country pretty is just too much.

I know it has been mentioned, but since you farther east you should check out 4xinnvations. Their products really are top notch!

4xinnovations is a great company. You are looking at a $184 price tag on the most basic sliders available made out of cheaper (guessing... slightly thinner wall) round tubing. 4xinnovations has a badass CNC tube bender and can knock em out very fast. Great company and great products.

If you plan on using sliders for what they are really made for, you'd be looking at DOM with the square main tube.

Marlin and TG also sell basic sliders for cheap, they all work as needed, but it's a question of strength in the long run after taking some good hits.

BAMF is also a great company and Jerry does very nice work and is an excellent welder. His stuff is very good quality!

I second Stubb's . Called him up and talked directly to the man who did the welding. I've got the sr5 black flares with mud guards and he knew exactly what would fit. Ended up being on the phone for about an hour. Great guy and great product. Had mine shipped to NH--his shipping is very reasonable.
