King Coilover Rebuild question. Non extended to extended possible?

I have King 2.5 Coilovers (Remote Res.) non extended. Part # 25001-278.

When I originally purchased them I did not have aftermarket UCA's so I purchased the non extended version. I have since added JBA UCA'S. I'm going to rebuild them shortly. Is there something I can do like swap or remove a spacer to make these the "extended" version?

Do the extended and non extender versions share the same shaft and it's just a spacer or something making the difference or are the different shafts all together?

Any info is appreciated.

Your really won't notice a difference... by all means.. do it if you are in there... but I would not rebuild just to get the tiny bit of travel. It's not even an inch at the wheel.

Actually the oem performance series looks a little different inside

The 1/4 silver spacer comes out. The rubber bump stays in

Wfo9 is bang on. I've got a set with the spacer removed, and one with it in tact. I only removed mine because I ruined the shafts and had to replace them.

I really can't notice a difference between the two, and I run 2" icon springs in the rear

It's my own fault. Too much adjusting while on truck. Hit hose, lost a lot of oil, created nitrogen leak...There's a local guy here that rebuilds out of his garage for fairly cheap so I'm looking at getting it done next week. I figure since he's rebuilding I might as well make them extended.
