KMAYO 2000 Green Runner Build

When are you thinking of doing it?

More than likely it will be on Sunday afternoon. I have the girl who is like my sister graduating Friday with her doctorate in physical therapy. :bravo: Along with my parents coming in town until Saturday.

Well crap. I only have the 3rd and 5th weekend free this month. I'd love to help but I'm not gonna make ya wait that long lol.

Well the lift has been installed and I will b taking it in for an alignment tomorrow morning. Aftwrwards i will get some pictures. One good thing to look forward to on Monday!!!

Again big thanks to llennium for his garage, cold water, and help today!

Not a problem. Runner looked great and we can get the diff drop on soon.

We did have to run to the store for a 24mm deep socket for the top bolts for the rear shocks, along having a hard time getting the factory shock in to drop the front enough to install the bottom bolts.

First is the most recent picture before the lift

Here is after the lift and alignment.

And some of the install and little sidewalk flexing :nerd:

Backup lifted front not lifted

And just one more because :becky:

Something new and shiny!

So thanks to TxBxSx and all the other guys at Shockworks I have a new shiny bumper! Hopefully I can get it prepped, painted, and installed in the next week or so.

Anyway hope everyone has a good week!

Defeated by winch clutch lever

This weekend I was able to get the end caps for my Shrockworks bumper welded on by my father-in-law. The next day my brother-in-law helped me install my Engo E9000 winch with synthetic line and we attempted to install the bumper.

This is where the problems started. We were having a hard time aligning the bumper correctly, and also getting it to a place where bolts could be installed.

After some forceful negotiations I stopped and looked under the bumper to find the clutch lever hitting the radiator support. I was tired and fifthly from working on this project most of the day so we called it quits and the wife and i drove the 1.5 hours back home with no winch or bumper installed.

After researching and some speaking with Engo directly (Thanks llennium) I will be removing the winch to clock it so that the lever will face away from the radiator.

After the install is complete I will update the thread with some pictures.

Hope everyone else had a good weekend!

Bummer man.. So now that the end caps are welded are you just gonna put the bumper on in town or still go wherever it was you were? Depending when you're attempting the next install I may be able to save you the hour and half drive and help out. I've got all the necessary and helpful tools.

JWaldz, The Plan is Friday afternoon if I can get some help. If you can I will not turn your help down! :D

Very tasteful mods and love the color!

Skidmarcx Thank you for the kind words. The whole goal of my build is to be capable of going to the national forests on the weekends and have fun, but also to perform daily duty as my main ride.

I'm pretty sure I can help this Friday after work.. Where's the preferred location to do it?

Thinking my house. I will let you know later this week for sure and text you my address. I am way past wanting to get this finished though. :redbrick:

KMAYO I should be available all day Friday if you want to knock this out earlier in the day. I will have family coming into town that afternoon so I'm out then. Glad to help.
