Knocking/clatter noise

I just put a remanufactured 3VZE in my '92 and now it makes sort of a high pitched knock sound when at high RPM's or when cruising on the highway and I slightly let off the gas (not all the way off tho). The truck still runs fine with no difference in power when it makes the noise. Ideas?

Can you get a video or audio of it, could just be the valves, did you check tolerances before you dropped it in? Try throwing a little bit of heaver weight oil in it and see if that quiets it up.

Don't think it's the valves, old engine needed a valve job and didn't sound like this. I'm going to back off my timing a bit and see if that fixes it. If it's detonation I want to get rid of it ASAP !

UPDATE: Took it to the dealership since no one has any idea and they told me bad block...don't know how much of that I believe but it should still be under warranty
