Well, I decided to upgrade my stereo. The Eclipse head unit that is in there is at least 5+ years old. I know that because I had the exact same model in my first car. It was a great head unit back when it was new, but nowadays, it's real picky about playing CDs, and doesn't play MP3 CDs at all anymore.
I decided to replace it with a Kenwood head unit that I used before on my DD that I liked. But, since I was going to have to take the dash apart anyway, I figured I might as well do the LED swap while I'm at it.

Like many things, the pictures don't really do it justice. However, there are some definite hot and dim spots for the gauges. I'm thinking about going back and doing it again with the 3 led bulbs from Autolumination. I've heard their LEDs are poor quality, but they're the only place I can find that has #24 lights with more than one led.
I'll probably throw some wax paper over the climate control led's, and see about replacing the A/C light and see if I can get the defrost button to light up as well. If I'm feeling really crazy, I might try and change the color of the clock too.
The 3 led #74s I used for the climate control turned out really well. A buddy of mine used the single ones for his led swap, and the singles really don't spread the light as well.
Also, I got an OBD2 bluetooth adapter and the Torque app for my phone, along with a dash/windshield mounting kit for the phone. I'm blown away by this setup! If you have an Android phone, and you get a scangauge instead of the bluetooth adapter/Torque combo, you're making bad life choices.
I'd go with a decent OBD2 adapter though. I cheaped out on the one I got, and it's picky about when it wants to connect. I'm going to send it back and get a different one.
