Another completely non related 4runner post lol. Don't worry my vacation will be over at some point and I will get back to some projects.
Small update. The hobby shop said no more welding for marines so.....construction will continue as planned.
Well what has happened is they are trying to save money in mccs and so hours on the hobby shop have dropped, prices have more than doubled, and mechanics helping run the hobby shop have been reduced. It's still running but barely. I buy all my stuff though amazon or Napa and take it in to do the work but only when I absolutely have to. Otherwise I'd have no money for parts!I'm surprised nobody asked what happened that made this ruling come down. I mean - you are at the Stumps; it isn't like you can hurt anything. I know when I was out there for training in 2005 there was not much out there.
Just curious what some Jarhead did as I was reading through your thread this morning.

Absolutely beautiful here in Oregon!
Here's it roughed up lol. I had to pour all the heat I could into it to make it weld. 3/8" bar is no joke.Sweet, definitely post up some pics!
Good news! The 4runner has a clean bill of health! She drives straight, doesn't creak or squeak, and drives straight as an arrow.
I did the itr and bushings. Made a big difference.
