Anybody run the Road Venture MT KL71 on their runner? I had a couple sets of their all terrains on my f150 and they did pretty well. Just wondering if anybody is running the mud tire on their rig and what their opinion of them is.

Ive put TONS of kumho tires on a wide range of vehicles. they are a fairly decent life tire at a pretty good price. the rubber is pretty soft and do well on paved roads, but as far as off roading i can see them getting cut on rock if you do much sliding on rocks.

but as far as your specific tires. i have no comment on them.

I run the A/T on my truck and cant say enough good things about them. Great in all conditions and terrains I have put them in. No experience with the M/T though.

I've had relatively good experiences with Kumho...unless you count that time my sidewall totally separated at 70 MPH on a freeway in Arizona on my old Mustang GT. Nothing like having to get over three lanes in a damn hurry! The tire was fairly new.

Hankook ATM

I've run Kumho's on a car-pretty good tire. I've run these Hankooks (265/70/16) for about 25k now on my 3rd gen tr4, not much wear that i can see yet. Awesome quite tire on the road, haven't slipped on wet yet but I'm not stupid to push it too hard on turns. Offroad they are even better. I ride all over cactus, their plys hold together with no leaks. I ride offroad on packed dirt, loose dirt, cactus/grass, sand (dry and deep) and yes mud-they clean themselves Very well, never had to hose the mud off the treads. About $600 otd at discount tire. Hard to go wrong with these you'll like them and the women get turned on by them too!

jgue, are you lifted? are your running the Hankooks in P or LT?

I put the P rated version on my wife's 5th gen but i've not been allowed to play in the dirt with it. but they look good

Not lifted, yet

just stock lift on that 4wd. Yeah just running Ps but they do have the LT versions, just weren't in stock when i went to buy. I think for moderate offroading they're good and have a very good combination of on road manners/mileage (i get 17/19 going 80 w/a-c on). I would like to feel/hear what the LT are like, now you have my interest going on that!

I'm not for sure on brand but I'm thinking I'm going to hold off (if I can) til I get my lift and put 285s on.

I don't think 285s will fit on stock….I could be wrong here though.

Yeah I don't think 285 fit stock height

heck, the 265s barely fit, I had a slightly loose piece of plastic just behind windshield washer fluid tank and it got eaten up quick, ripped it off and driven good since. Put some pics up when you get the new tread!
