People are sheep, they buy what youtubers, and instagram kids use because they beat it into your head daily.

If LFD would ever answer my email about their aluminum skid being wide or standard (photo shows both, description says nothing about either) i would buy an aluminum wide skid.

I’ve contacted LFD on several different occasions via a ticket on their website and always received a reply within a day.

FWIW, I have their aluminum front skid and it’s wide, but not the “stupid wide” they advertise on their site for their steel front skid.

Its most likely the standard width one. Meh, I'm over it.

I think it's definitely regional. I have RCI skids and went with them because this was in 2017 and RCI was one of the first companies offering aluminum skids for the 4Runner. They also offer great group buy and BF deals as well.

LFD has really only been in the 4Runner game until the last 2 years or so. Their website is horrendous however and they have the worlds worst pictures on their product page. They could really use some help in the marketing, product advertising and presentation departments. While I have no questions about the quality of their work and craftsmanship, I think most of their products have a very basic and rudimentary appearance to them. I don't really like the way their roof racks or bumpers look but that's just a personal preference. I think you'll find more people with LFD products out on the east coast than you would the rest of the country.

I saw that deal, thanks for the reminder. I need winter tires for my second set. After reading a thread praising the new Toyo Open Country AT3s which I really liked, I'm now wondering about getting an MIR for the General Grabbers but I'm not familiar with their tires at all.
