this looks like a nice trail.. how long is it? are there area's to camp there? i'm planning on transferring with my job to charlotte, so i'm starting to gather info about the area nearby.

This is a trail where you must stay on the trail, i.e. no camping or taking side roads as that is private land. However the top end of the trail comes out on the Blue Ridge Parkway where there is camping at various locations.

It took us about three and a half hours, however that was the first time for both of us so it took longer than those more experienced on this trail would have probably taken. BTW, it is definitely a lot of fun.

I'm down in Charlotte now but my schedule sucks for a fee months and I'll be working weekends. So I'm probably out for the next few months at least.

Going up to VA next weekend to Flagpole Knob and Peters Mill Gap with some 757 Runners. Windrock, TN Labor Day weekend for the Toyota Roundup.

Should be putting the lift on next weekend, but maybe the Toyota Roundup will be possible.
