As you can probably tell by excessive use of caps button in title, you're probably wondering why this happened...


Basically my 21st birthday is in two days, and I emailed someone earlier today. I haven't been able to hear back from him (it's about 10pm now) so I'm guessing he is beat and tired.

Basically the only concern i have is the SWI harness. On PAC's website (assuming it's the company's site) they retail for like $80 some change...THAT IS CRRRRRAZY! I came across Amazon and little to my surprised, I saw similar items being sold at a much less price $35 some change)

Should I disregard the PAC website link and buy the PAC SWI Steering wheel through Amazon? Let me know ASAP!!! I am so amped on taking this pice of crap OEM HU out of the 4R and install the new HU in it. QUICK! Let me know if all looks well.

the pac swi is a PITA, my buddy had it installed (we spent greater part of a day ensuring we soldered the right capacitor in place, it lags like no other! U will miss the sharp response of the factory controls.

I have a PAC swi-jack for sale brand new if you want to save a few bucks. $25 shpped anywhere. Let me know and I can get it out tomorrow!
 
I'd also recommend the Metra Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface. Have had one in for a few months now with a JVC head unit, works great and no soldering required.

And if you don't want to cut into your factory harness they have a harness adapter that plugs right in (sold separately though)

I wish I would have used that, I had to cut into the harness for the axxess unit, plug and play would have been easier and cleaner.
