Yeah I don't think they'd appreciate that. That said I'm happy with my NEMO tents. But I envy you roof top tent people.

An RTT would complete the look but I transport camera gear up on the rack, so that's important to have that space/utility. I'd love an RTT one day but for the money I could probably invest in a trailer. Either way, a ground tent does me just fine.

Thanks. Yeah I found another Inferno 4Runner in town and parked behind it, it's amazing how small the stock one looks compared to what I've done with mine. hah.

Does that gobi rack have round or square crossbars? I am looking to mount a Rotopax on a Yakima rack and they are round bars. Thanks.

Thanks. I read through your build thread and didn't see any detail about adding the Rotopax. Do you have any details or advice on how to mount those? Did you have problems with them? I know you moved your gas storage to the bumper but just wondering if you had concerns with the Rotopax since they aren't cheap. Your rig is fantastic btw!

I wouldn't store fuel on the tops, as they can balloon and weep if you're not careful. Plus I'd avoid the 2gallons that are linked or the longer 4 gallons, as it's a bear to get off the roof. I use 2x 2 gallon waters on the roof, not linked, so you can take one off at a time. Makes it easy to handle.

You can attach both using their mount kit and backer plate, and running the bolts through the rack's wire mesh. It's not easy since the space between the plate and the top of the roof is narrow.

In Southern California we say we do have 4 seasons: Earthquakes, floods, fires and riots. And we do a good job of stealing water from others so we can water our lawns.

I'm from northern california originally, but Southern California is the equivalent of Mos Eisley to me.
