GPS and iPad, like PB&J!
Mounted up the old iPAD air into the interior, using the DUAL XGPS. Along with a few apps the results are great. As long as I pre-cache map data I now have real time trail maps.
Nice setup...been looking into something more advanced than the stock Nav. Where do you mount your XGPS?

Dashboard, as it does need a fairly good line of sight.

I imagine you're very detail oriented, judging by your photos, how immaculate your truck looks and the time you put into maintaining, if not for your personal life, but your profession. I aim to do the same as my truck has taken me across North America and through Canada into Alaska. It holds my family and much like everyone on this forum, used as a daily driver. I don't want to jeopardize the integrity of the roof, if it can't be cut and sealed correctly.
From your response Ive gathered I need to purchase/consult the oracle (google) about, "marine press grommets," and "RVT sealant." I will start from there, once again thank you for your insight. As I said before, you're doing it right and there are a lot of us out there who could learn from your experiences.

Still some more tweaking on the mount. While there's some wobble it's way less than the standard iphone cup/RAM mount, I'm super impressed. It doesn't block any of the controls or access to the transfer case lever.
Got it all wired up with the XGPS 160, and with GAIA and MotionX it works great.

Great pic in the rain!!! Did you list what switches you used for all of your lights? I'm getting ready to wire up my light bar and wanted to see if you have any recommendations. I value your recommendations since your rig is inspiring!!!

I actually used the Rigid rocker switches. I find that actually being able to feel them is more important than trying to make them factory looking. It's nice to be driving down a dirt road and be able to tell which switches are which just by feel.

Just missed you today. Drove by 503 and saw the truck, couldn't help but stop and take a few pics. Was in a rush and forgot to take one of both our rigs. The armor looks great. Hoping to get the upcoming Metal Tech front bumper, should be a similar design as yours. How did you get name on the rear bumper?
Maybe meet up for a beer sometime, would like to pick you brain on a few things. Have a great trip

Hey man, I was actually in the shop when you drove by a second time.
Iain said that an orange 4Runner came by, and I knew it had to be you and the metaltech rig, and then as we were talking you drove by again.
Yep the truck was at 503 today finishing up a week's worth of work, specifically we bypassed the rear camera and installed the new camera on my swing arm, Icon shin guards and rubber shock booties, new Pelfreybilt rocksliders, and a few other little tweaks before I head south to the Mojave Road.
And yep, lets meet up sometime, surprised we haven't crossed paths yet. As for the rear bumper, I used this: Toyota more than a car.
Then I rattle canned them black primer, and it was a near perfect match.

I liked the look of the Pelfrey's more, and having seen both, considering they're the same weight, the Pelfrey's are built better.

Sorry missed this since I was driving down I5. Yep A7R2.
I absolutely love my Pelfreybilt bumper, but I was a tad dismayed when I lost the old school TOYOTA on the valence. So I purchased an OEM Series 70 LC emblem, and constructed a bracket to bolt it into the standard grill.
Brings back a bit of the old school look and the TRD front end while remaining true to the brand:
