LawnDart's Build Thread

Hey man. I don't check in on build threads much but I got the news from marshal. Sorry about your dog. I have always had a dog and have had to have them put down many times. One of the hardest things in life. Hoist one for me in remembrance.

Not the best of updates, but because he and I went on adventures constantly, today I had to put my best friend down. He loved going on rides in the 4Runner, and I'll miss him terribly.
I won't lie- I teared up a bit when I saw your post on Instagram with regard to the passing of your little guy. My heart aches for you.

He'll rest easy on Top of the World.

Sorry for your loss, Isaac !

Thanks guys, I'm going to start posting Mojave Road photos today, just to focus on things that aren't sad. But I'll say this, that dog was friggin rad. My family had a dog before that, but Corky was my first dog. It's a shitty bargain we make when we get a dog, because if we're lucky they don't outlive us, but we know for certain we'll outlive them.

Truly a shitty trade off.

Yeah, I am not known as an emotional guy but when I have to take my dog to the vet (4X over the past 40 years) and have a dog put down I cry like a baby every damn time. Then in a few months I go to the shelter and get a new dog. Crazy.

I won't lie, I looked online at the animal shelters in and around Portland, and all I could think was, "you're not as cool as my Corky, neither are you, or you..."

Sorry to hear man. I'll pour a little on the curb for the fallen one(s).

I did to and I am so sorry for your loss.

There is no better friend then your dog they love you so unconditionally. Mine got me through Chemo and I can tell you he never left my side during treatment. Not sure what I would do without him.

very sorry for you and your family.

You will never have another that is the same. It is ok to know that none will be cool in the same way as Corky was. It is probably true. They are all individuals. Sorry about you loss. I too, don't get emotional about most things, but my dogs I do! We have pictures and memories and sometimes they make us a twing sad (even years and years later) until we realize that we would never undo having them in our lives. Doesn't make the sadness any easier, but knowing you aren't alone in the pain is helpful.

Is there any tangible reason to get the adjustable ICON Adjustable Track Bar?

It's not expensive, but is it a worthwhile upgrade? From what I've read it's a dead nuts easy swap. No lift or jacks required.

Hey, couple things, first so sorry for your loss, no words can express it.
Did you ever go with this? any thoughts? Also I may need some advice/guidance when i get the ARB in, mostly passing through to the interior.

Maybe see ya on the "5" passing by. Ill wave if i do. :)
