Hey, couple things, first so sorry for your loss, no words can express it.
Did you ever go with this? any thoughts? Also I may need some advice/guidance when i get the ARB in, mostly passing through to the interior.

The icon pan arm bar isn't required, and doesn't offer any real upgrade unless you're going ABOVE 33" tires. The stock one works fine.

Me and the shop decided it would make more sense to just run the cabling down under the body of the vehicle along the same path we took for the bumper installed Rigid Dually lights. As such this means we just need to pass through a grommet underneath the wheel wells (same one we used for the camera mod for the swing arm), and then up to the battery.

We're likely going to install the ARB outlet in the right tray above the wheel well in the cargo area, right side if possible, and put in a physical switch that's illuminated. This way we can disconnect that hot 12v when not in use, and the light serves as a visual indicator that it's getting power.

What case and mount are you using for the ipad? Also what apps do you use for trail maps? I bought an ipad mini 2 and a GPS receiver and I want to make a setup like you have. Also can you provide the cool wallpaper you are using on the ipad?

I'm using the ipad air case from Lifeproof. I think it's the FRE. And the lifeproof cradle. The ipad AIR is a damn big tablet, so you'll want to use a stout RAM arm. Maybe the 1.5" balls.

I don't have the wallpaper on me but will post it up when I can.

Sweet. I just did my CB. Built my own mount for the antenna out of a bottle opener haha. I want to do a HAM someday. For now, my Baofeng will do.

You are going to fit right in to the ham community. You can even build your own radios and antennas.

I absolutely love my Pelfreybilt bumper, but I was a tad dismayed when I lost the old school TOYOTA on the valence. So I purchased an OEM Series 70 LC emblem, and constructed a bracket to bolt it into the standard grill.

Brings back a bit of the old school look and the TRD front end while remaining true to the brand:

How's that aluminum? I know they said it's thick and it will take a beating, but just looking for real world experience with that bumper.

So far it's been great. Not to be too morbid, but I hit 2 jackrabbits with it at about 50mph in eastern oregon, not a dent or scratch on it. It's a little disconcerting to see video of my truck in motion because the front bumper does move under flex, but that's going to happen to ANY bumper, because of it being part of the frame and not the body.

Yeah I really like the look of it, but I just have really been wanting that one in steel. Just kind of afraid of banging it on a rock and cracking it.

It won't cracked, and it's super reinforced via a lot of buttressing.

Looks like the tolerances are very tight though. No issues with it hitting the headlights?

None. I double checked my headlights after Mojave, which really shook both bumpers around, and not a single mark on the headlights after after some REALLY tough terrain and higher speeds.

Happens to all the armor actually. Sliders are another one that sometimes people don't realize move with the frame and not the body. Every time armor is added and attached to the frame, clearance needs to be addressed. Sounds like the way yours was designed was excellent from a calculation standpoint! Tight but effective tolerances for the win!:lookout:

Exactly, the gap between the lights is much tighter towards the center of the vehicle and widens as it gets out to the fender flares, purely because like a tuning fork the wobble is bigger as you get to the furthest edges.

But yes there's a big reason that there's a lot of clearance built in to the Pelfrey, CBI, etc armor.

Waiting to get the truck back this week. I put nearly 4K miles on it in the span of 2.5-3 weeks so we pulled a lot of the suspension apart, re-adjusted, greased, and fixed a few things such as my driver window tinting where I shit you not a bird flew INSIDE my truck in Mojave and decided to go rick james on my tinting's couch...so to speak.

Should have it back Wednesday then thursday we head off to Ducmonsta's shop...aka his garage...aka his house, to wire up my HAM radio and blue sea fuse panel to make my accessory wiring a bit nicer.

Then it's off to Moab for one last road trip with my dog...again...so to speak.
