Wow. First of all LawnDart, I stumbled onto this forum this past weekend after saying to myself, "self there's something more you have to do with your TRD pro." This thread is awesome and truly and an inspiration of mine of what to do with my 4runner. Anyways after spending this past Fri, Sat, and Sun reading ALL 66 pages of this thread I did have some questions for you if you wouldn't mind answering. Again a bit new to all of this so sorry if my questions are dumb, because well most likely they are, but hey I'm learning.
- Anyways I recently ordered my Gobi stealth rack (steel) and saw that on your rig you have one as well, a CBI rear bumper (steel), Pelfreybilt (aluminum or steel?) front bumper, and various skid plates (steel I assume as well). With all of that said, did you go for aluminum when possible or steel for all of those parts? If steel, did it drastically affect your performance due to the added weight?
- What fender flares do you have? I read earlier in the thread that they were Bushwacker fender flares but after taking a look at what they have online, they don't look the same.
- What was your final set up for your suspension? If I read correctly you put 2x King coilover 2.5s, 2x King bypasses 2.5, ARB 4.88 airlocker, Total Chaos long travel kit in the front. In the rear 2x King 2.5 rear shocks, Nitro 4.88 re-gear, Currie anti-rock torsion bars, and some brand of custom made springs. Correct? Also, this gentleman wizard mechanic named Walt from New Mexico, does he have a shop or do work on other 4Runners for hire?
Lastly, again I really appreciate any insight you can give and truly you are an inspiration to most of us here on the forums.
PS - If you haven't purchased the Goose-Gear storage module, what are your thoughts on the Scout Overland camping kitchen/storage? Might want to check that out.
