What'd that run you? I just gouged the shit out of 1/3rd of my wheel this week, getting out of the truck with a big knife in my pocket.....

You have two options, both involve a 650 dollar cost for the re-wrap.

1. You send them your existing wheel, and they re-wrap it with a real leather setup, for 650. It takes as long as shipping to and from, and the wrap time.

2. You pay a 330 hold charge, and they SEND you a new wheel already pre-wrapped, and once you remove and send your old wheel back, they refund you the 330 dollars.

Not cheap I will admit. But a factory replacement SOFTEX wheel for a trail premium is like 600-650 by itself.

I've done that a few times too. I'm REALLY careful getting in my truck now. That said, I found that rubbing it with Lexol leather conditioner really helped and it pretty much went away after a few weeks. I think the hand oils help recondition the leather.

This is my 3rd steering wheel. I got in my 4Runner with a knife in my pocket and took a good slice out of it due to the clip. I do not where knives around the 4Runner now.

First time I removed the wheel, this was a year or two ago, I just used my gorilla like strength to muscle it off. And I unfortunately damaged the clock cable. Thankfully I was able to get the dealer to replace it by doing a "I don't know why but the car is broken, help me" for free.

This time I did it the right way and used a steering wheel puller.

That wheel looks like complete crap. Lemme know when you want to sell it. I know a guy... :behindsofa:

In the meantime, I may just do this Antman style with some red electrical tape and a red sharpie. Be right back, lol.

Just use red plastidip, with a white base coat for brighter reds.

Yep, it took a good 2" ribbon of softex out of the wheel.

No dates are set in stone, but the working schedule is that early-to-mid-april is the goal for the prototype (aka my bumper) and then full production happens later in april as they work through the pre-orders.

Has this been set in stone date yet? Really would like to see this swingout already so I can make my decision.

Will the CBI accept a stock exit exhaust? I have a Borla that exits straight back ala OE.

As for stock exist, I don't know, but I would totally suggest a more tucked up exhaust dump anyways because otherwise you're gonna have a bad time.

Just saw what happened on instagram. That's ****ed man. Did that happen in your apartment garage? Hopefully the police down there put a little more effort towards break-ins than up here in Seattle.

Yep, I had to catch a cab to a video shoot, so I couldn't even fully document it. It's a major bummer. I don't know how much is damaged.

Ah, I'm sorry man, that sucks. We're moving into an apartment in April with an underground garage but I know people will just drive off without waiting to make sure the gate closes behind them. Although having secured parking is better than just on the street, it's really not too difficult for someone to scope it out and run in before the gate closes. Saw it happen back in Austin when I worked a condominium complex in college as well. City life I suppose, unfortunately.

The driver door they ****ed up, so it goes BACK to a body shop, new glass, interior is trashed. I'm really kind of lacking words.
