About 2000 in nav/comms gear. Damaged the interior. Stole my dogs DOG BED of all things.

Didn't see the story as I don't have instagram or know where to see it but from what I gather here some messed up stuff man. Hope you get everything worked out and back in order as soon as possible. Humanity can be awful sometimes just remember for every 1 ***hole there are 1000 that are great.

I discovered the theft at 7:10 am, and had to be on set at 7:30, so I had to catch a cab and all I could do is basically take a few photos. The window is still smashed in, so I don't know the extent of damage. Renters and Auto insurance will help out. But they ****ed up my door, interior panels, new steering wheel, they literally ripped my DeLorme out and damaged the interior trim panels.
It's heartbreaking since yesterday I replaced the LAST bits of Baja damage. And now some meth head **** face ruined my week.

Ah man. I've had this sort of thing happen to me 5 times in the past with my boat, trucks and my VW. F'n dirtbags.
What goes around comes around- older I get the more I believe that.

Definitely not pros. I think Portland is similar to Seattle: Lots of homeless drug addicts that seize opportunity and take totally random shit as long as they can grab it and run and worry about the financial (i.e. value in drugs) aspect of it later.
There's tons of bike theft and they end up chopping the bikes into pieces. I've never understood how they get any money off of selling seats or wheels from cheap-ass Walmart bikes but apparently there's a black market for that shit? Dunno.

There is little logic behind the grab. My first gut reaction was it seemed personal. Worst part, from my past experience, is the violation you feel when this happens to you. However, I did not have my heart and soul in the vehicle I had that was broken into like Lawndart obviously has. Really sucks bro. Best wishes and good luck!

The guy was a meth head, we have him on security cameras waiting to follow someone in. He stole a medical kit, the electronics, and even tried to pry out the airbag. He did the same thing to another vehicle about 30yards away.
Not a personally motivated attack but it doesn't make it any better.

The adjuster is coming over today to document it. I'm sure insurance will make it right, but it just sucks.
The day before I replaced the LAST part on the vehicle that was damaged from Baja. I'm so close to just quitting. I seriously just want to give up on this vehicle.
