If anything I'm for sure going to bring the 4Runner back next year, assuming I'm invited back.

But I'll probably make some changes to my 4Runner for sure.

I'm going to assuredly go from my Nitto Ridge Grappler 35/12.50R17s E Loads to C Loads (C's weren't available at the time in that size when I got them 2 years ago).

I may swap to Fox Shocks...and performance wise it'll be the same, but for Trail of Missions it kinda helps to be running the sponsor equipment, just for the TV show.

I may step down from my Rock Monsters to those new Method Overland rims, that aren't true beadlocks, but my wheel/tire combos are very heavy. Just little things for next year.

In full honesty I hate not having my 4Runner here, as while it's not *A* raptor, it's also way more unique than the other Raptors in some senses.

Considering ditching the Gobi rack for something aluminum to cut more weight?

My Raptor bug is slowly fading too. Leaning towards a 200 if I ever get a new rig. But my 4Runner is staying for the same reasons you have mention [MENTION=124732]LawnDart[/MENTION]

The 200 doesn’t appeal to me since it’s too wide and despite having a v8 I wouldn’t call it a very exciting ride. Out here the raptors get hammered by the plants and trees. Last year my 4Runner came away with only some light additional pin striping.

Do it! It seems like you only use it for maxtrax and the awning. You usually just bring the trailer when you go out on trips, right? No need to strap stuff on the roof.

I'm reluctant on a full rack because I don't plan on running an RTT and the only thing I can think of to put up there are recovery boards and maybe a chase light.

When I do baja again I’ll just remove gear. It’s the weight that hurts your vehicle out here. Mainly I’d remove the goose gear, winch, etc. just to bring the total weight down.

Different strokes for different folks. I like having my rack for hauling firewood, Maxtrax, stinky clothes, etc. OUTSIDE the vehicle. They don't really weigh that much.

You can mount a lot of that stuff on a rear bumper swing-out with a trasharoo, with the additional benefit of it being lower-altitude for better CG and ease of access.

Just another idea to throw out there.

Top light bars are absolutely useless for most situations. My awning isn’t super important with the trailer now. So saving weight is a good idea. For me at least.

Lc200 is only 78" wide so your 4runner is about the same as it is. It's heavy, but it doesn't feel under powered.

For a v8 it feels way underpowered. Especially for the dumbass price Toyota sells those minivans for.

Yes the rears travel in an arc. At full droop they are actually in front of the rear fender wells which boggles your mind the first time you see it on a lift. We have some pretty massive bump stop extensions, about 2" in fact that keep the tire at about 1/4" from the bottom of the fender wells when at full stuffed. Otherwise we'd be beating the truck to death when articulating.

The front fenders are fine. I have some trimming to do with those little plastic caps at the base of the rocker panels and maybe cutting off some more of the actual fender liner but no major rubbing all things considered.

For clarification, are you running extended front bump stops, or did you just trim inside the fender? These are factory fenders right? Thanks.
