LBJs?

this afternoon I passed a 3rd generation 4Runner which had rolled several times (60 mph speed limit in that section of the interstate), but the 4Runner appeared to have held up well enough to protect its occupants... it did not appear that any other vehicles were involved, which makes me wonder whether LBJ failure led to this particular accident? unfortunately I was driving in the opposite lanes and could not take any photographs, much less stop to potentially ask what might have caused the rollover

That is why I need to put mine in that are just sitting on my table. I do 90% highway driving, I don't want this to happen!

Damn, I've seen so many posts over the past year about LBJ failure that I am ultra paranoid about the things. I'm constantly checking them and getting conformation from my mechanic friends that they're in perfectly good condition. Almost ordered an OEM set from camelback to change out just to be sure. My buddy told me he understands my love for the truck and making sure everything is correctly done and safe, but there's no sense in spending money on stuff that's in good working condition. Nonetheless, I've seen plenty of Runners rolled over on the interstate just as you've described. I'm willing to bet that in most cases, it's operator error. Still scary, though -
