LC coil spring Color codes

I have the 9.25 wraps (blue/pink/white and grey/orange/white) and im at 41in from ground to fender

also, if anyone knows exactly which vehicle they got their wraps off of, I know mine came off a 93 LC

I suspect the 9.25 wraps come off a different model/trim level...

Guess what I have?!

I have the 9.25 wrap coils (blue/pink/white and grey/orange/white) They came off a 1991 LC. I'm picking up another set of coils from a 97 and I'll post up the color codes and number of wraps of those.

any updates?? were the coils from the 97 different??

the 8 wraps with purple/green/white and double purple/blue/white were off a 1997 fzj80.

the FJ80s were only in production for 1991 and 1992. These were the land cruisers with the 3FE engines.

whereas the fZj80 was from 1993-1997 and had the newer and improved 1FZFE engine.

I've only had it a couple of months so the 4Runner thing is new to me. I like my new (to me) 4Runner a lot!

I've had a 1989 Land Cruiser for 7 years. I'm actually going to sell it and just have the 4Runner!

Well looks like i might be getting a pair of the 9 wraps for my 4runner to replace my not so old 891s. wat shock r u guys using with these in the rear since im assuming my OME ones wont do so well with it.

Here are the ones I got today. Confirmed came off of a 1997 Anniv addition FzJ80 with less than 100k. they all are just about the same height right at 19 inches. Two have color codes of Double Purple, Dark Blue, and White. The other two are Double Purple, Light Blue, and White colors are top to bottom. My buddy that I got them from didn't know which were the front and which were the rear.

Coil 2 DP, DB, W

Coil 3 DP, LB, W

Coil 4 DP, LB, W

coils 1&2 are 8 wraps coils 3&4 are 7.5 wraps. I plan to install them on the rear this weekend and will give you all an update with pics after.

yeah, you can see that the pair on the left are more tightly wrapped than the pair on the right.

are you saying that one set came from the rear of a FZJ80???

as far as I knew, all of the LC coils that we use come from the front springs...

That is correct, I don't know which two came from the rear. All four came off of a 97 FZJ80. my buddy took them off his cruiser and threw them in his shed 3 years ago. Dug them out today. The wire is very close in Diameter between all four. I don't have a micrometer here but will bring one home tomorrow. Any Idea which might be the front two?

this is new for me, but i would say that the double purple/dark blue/white set is from the front and the double purple/light blue/white was from the back of this FZJ80 from 97.

Ill start asking around for color codes from the back of LC's and see what I find,

but your measurements match the chart and the double Purple Dark blue are 8wraps.. and the double Purple Light blue are 7.5 wraps...
