I have not found anyone that has tried it but I’m curious if anyone has any experience? There is a cheap snorkel kit on fee-bay for $99 for the 90-99 LC80 and would love to use it on my 96, just not sure if it would even be close to fitting the angle of the windshield and fender. Let me know what you guys think.

That one on eBay I have been looking at too, but if the LC one could be made to fit for $80 less it may be worth messing around with. Since even the hilux one will still need to modified to fit, and does not come with a template for drilling or anything. I would also have to make the tubing for the inner fender too, but all that is fairly easy to do.

It does come with a template but I would double check it before drilling a hole. Also, I don't think you would need any tubing...it comes with a boot to connect to the airbox. You only need the Tacoma piece for the safari snorkel if thats what you're talking about. No modifications for the snorkel to fit that I'm aware of either. I believe the antenna is not an issue with fitment.
The 80 series has a much longer front end due to the size of the 4.5 liter straight 6. The 80 series snorkel will probably be too long IMO.

The picture in post #2322 looks like the same snorkel as in the link. And it shows it above the sport flares without any interference.

As far as I know that is NOT the correct snorkel it might work but there are ones that fit much better...

It does, Thats the snorkel I have, it fits pretty good.
Edit: the rubber connector that goes from the airbox to the snorkel is a PITA to get together.

I remember mine arriving much faster than i was expecting.
I attached two recent pictures of my 4runner. The lower front bolt (there are 5 total plus the 3 rivets on the windshield pillar) just need to be tightened up a good bit more, that is why there is a gap.
