Watsup guys,

Noticed this leak this morning after I backed out my entrance. It looks like something with pressure blew out and continued leaking maybe overnight.....

This morning it was -15celcius + wind, I wonder if the temparature had something to do with it. Yesterday It was not as cold.....

Anybody can ID this leak ?

Thanks,

Very hard to tell from the pic. I think you can rule out coolant. To me it looks like hydraulic fluid of sorts. Although I don’t see any reddish tint which would suggest trans fluid. As a guess I would say power steering fluid as that system is under pressure and a leak could spray like this. You may want to pop the hood and reach around the hoses and such to see if you have any leaks. However your best bet would be to put a finger in it so you can smell what it is. 9 out of 10 times you can tell from the smell alone.

Need more information. Did you touch the fluid? What color is it? Consistency? What area of the vehicle did it come from? Otherwise all we can do is take wild guesses with the information originally provided.

I hope its P/S fluid or oil, otherwise you really need to change your transmission fluid. Do you have a V8 or V6 with trans cooler?

I just had to replaced all tranny cooler lines on my truck because the original lines had rusted through.

An eagle in a snow storm maybe?

Or maybe an angry murderous crab mutant with decapitated baby heads around its eye stalks?

I never did well with these Rorschach Tests...

Dude, it's a butterfly.

Sorry....
It looks dark so I agree & hope not trans fluid. Did it dry? (exhaust water) What's it smell like?

Honestly it could be soot filled water from the exhaust, which would happen on colder days with a higher mileage vehicle... Its hard to tell where its from without knowing where under the vehicle the puddle was and/or where on the vehicle is the leak (if there is.)

I agree exhaust leak keep on trucking, came from a drain hole or rust out, when he started it up it pressurized and splattered, wife has a celica that she backed up to garage to unload her treasures that
She pisses my money away on??? Closes door next morning she goes out to buy more junk? I clean

It's probably from the exhaust like others said. The other day I noticed a black splatter spot under my tundra in the driveway when I was talking to my neighbor. It's '13 w/ 34k so it's practically still brand new. My neighbor I was talking to is a mechanic and he said oh it's probably just from sooty condensation leaking from the drain hole in your muffler. That's normal. Sure enough, looked underneath and the origin of the sooty drip was coming from the muffler.

The dealer told me its a power steering issue. I can't seem to locate the leak in my driveway anymore :S

Where is the power steering enclosure located ?? My wife who took the picture told me the stain was located neer the passenger wheel....
