Since I bought my T4R just over a year ago I've been having some issues with my 87 22re 5spd hesitating and bucking, I also smell fuel in the oil. I went ahead and started to tear the wiring going to the injectors apart, I was hoping it would be the injector wiring junction corroding and falling apart as it seems to be a pretty common problem. Removed the loom and tape and everything looks to be fine. I have also heard of an issue with the fuel pulse damper on the fuel rail at the opposite end of the rail from the FPR leaking because of a loose screw. So I removed the little plastic cover over the damper and inside I found a small amount of fuel and an oily substance, which really could have come from anywhere. My question is, do these dampers go bad? is there a seal or anything in there I can replace like the screw maybe? are these available new, or do I even need it? I removed the one in MR2 and replaced it with a braided SS AN fitting line and it never seemed to have any problems.
