Leaks and ball joints...

Need some advise-- and please excuse my ignorance! Crawled under the runner today to inspect as it had been a while.

Pics 1&2: Front diff @ drivers side appears to be seeping-- but passenger side is dry. Does this need attention?

Pic 3: Both LBJs have hairline dry rots... and seeping... Reckon these need replacing..

Recommendations?

Ball joints. Where dem fairies hang out. j/k

Replace the LBJ. Dry rot= loss of lubrication= rapidly accelerated wear on parts= breakage.

Check to see if you are actually leaking from the front diff. Diff leaks aren't too common on theses trucks but a leaking valve cover gasket is. Check there. If you find it leaking from the diff case then yes, you would want to fix it.

3 cars... 2 of them 4Runners. There is ALWAYS something to fix. Vehicular triage.
