Leaky CV....already?

Ok so while taking a sharp left uturn, over an inclined curb, the passengers tire clips it and did drop a few inches btw. This is where my concerns start. From the front passengers side I hear a creaky sort of thud, as the best way to describe it. I then decide to get out and take a look. I see what appears to be some grease of sorts (see pics). It nears the cv boot and has appeared to splash. I am pretty unfamiliar with suspension parts, so not quite sure what to make of it just yet.

Any opinions guys? I should mention that when making this same maneuver in the same spot, before I did my toytec lift, I had some noise from the same spot. However I figured it was the shocks, as it stopped, or at least I thought so, after the swap.

I would suspect its from the small diameter clamp? Its a common thing for the 4Runners.

Agree with Blackworksinc. Mine is leaking at the same exact spot. I bought some CV boot grease, marine style clamps and a plastic syringe to fix it.

It looks like its most likely the small diameter clamp losing its clamping force, but just to be sure, try to push the boot back a bit and inspect it for tears just before the small diameter clamp in the picture. I had this happen to my 4Runner at around 90k and I had to reboot the CVs (not a bit deal, just labor intensive is all.)

Thanks so much, both of you! I will hopefully get this fixed today. Gonna go assess it shortly and then hopefully pick up supplies for replacing the clamps (if that is indeed the issue). If I do end up having to wait a bit, how concerned should I be about causing additional damage to anything? Thanks again.
