Lean to the left

Did a TJM 2" lift and I noticed there is about an 11/2 to 2" difference of height on the right rear tire to top of wheel well and the left rear is lower. Is this normal lean of the 4th gen. 4runner?

Had an 08' Tacoma and it leaned left, but it was from the fuel tank being on that side. Just wondering if its similiar.

**** Most importantly is there something I can install, modify or do that will take care of this? Like a trailing arm or something. :thanks:

same thing as the taco the gas tank and battery are on the left. you can get some sort of trim spacer to level it out. I dont know the specifics on those

there are a number of threads discussing options to correct the leaning problem. as Sergio mentions, gas tank and battery are on that side contributing to the lean. most people will get a spacer and install on the drivers side only to correct it.

try a search for "4th gen lean"

Not sure if that's one spacer or two but for 40 bucks it's an easy fix, maybe even post in the Want To Buy section and get one for cheaper from someone who has an extra one laying around!

That sounds like a lot ! 1.5 on a 2"lift is a huge difference .are you sure its that much ? if its a 1/2 inch ok, gas tank ,battery .add a 1/4 inch spacer up top on that side, but 1.5 is a lot .EDIT re read :so what your saying its a 1/2 inch difference .add spacer

Yes it is a good 1 " at least. Of course I filled up this morning and then measured. I will try spacer.

The spacer has worked for some on here, but it didn't for me in my old 2004. I installed a daystar 1.5 in the rear of mine but it still leaned! This time around I'm going to go with some adjustable coilovers in the front as well as the spacer in the rear in order to correct it

I did a Toytec Ultimate lift on my '05 and had a 1" lean to the driver's side. I installed a 1.5" spacer over the driver side rear coil and it leveled both sides PERFECT! All four corners of my rig are level and good.

Were the TJM springs identical? Some companies spec driver side & passenger side springs.
