I just ordered one of these and thought other members might be interested. Nice little addition to non-limited 3rd gens. He makes them in black, tan, and grey. Pretty much covers all of the 3rd gen interiors. I think the pricing is good. He sells black in real leather according to his add. Can also get black, tan and grey in synthetic leather (vinyl). But vinyl is a really good durable product as well.

Looks cool. The info says it is a cover not a whole armrest lid. I sent him a message asking if it fits both the 96-98 and upgraded armrest of the 99+ 3rd gens. I know they are a little different. The new ones have a kinda hidden compartment in them, right?

Very nice find, and that is a great price. My tan lid is all messed up from use and from the time I left the sunroof open while it rained. Post some pics up when you get that in, I definitely want to see it.

I just ordered one too. I upgraded to a 2000 year console and the top of the lid is hard plastic. I'm hoping this will look and feel better.

I bought mine off of Ebay a couple years ago from a seller named:
topgaiters. They were in the UK and shipping was still only about a week to the US.

No pics right now sorry, but the install was fairly easy. I took the lid off the console, removed the inside part of the lid from the outer via 6-8 phillips screws. Then carefully peeled the old leather cover off the plastic cover and cleaned the old adhesive off. The old cover has a foam layer attached to it to give your arm rest some cushion, the new cover did not have this. I went to a local fabric supply and bought a yard of their thin sturdy foam. I cut it to shape and gave it a test fit, was a little too soft so I put another layer of foam on it. You could probably find a stiffer foam but I went with what I had. Test fit again and all was well. I used some 3M Upholstery adhesive and attached the foam to the plastic arm rest. Then I applied the same 3M adhesive to the foam and bottom of the new leather cover and put them together. Using the 3M adhesive I secured the little leather "fingers" to the bottom of the plastic console cover. I think there were some small staples to anchor the leather "fingers" that pull around to the bottom of the console lid, I don't remember if I found any replacements since they had to be very shallow so they didn't poke through the lid completely. Once that was done, just attach the other piece of the console lid with the phillips screws (also helps sandwich the leather between the two plastic pieces to secure it in place) and install the lid back on the console.

Mine has held up very well. I bought black because I was unsure of color matching and it still looks really nice and has not worn much at all. I do notice that where my arm rests on the cover it is a little shiny than the rest just from arm wear, but that's to be expected. I would absolutely buy another one of these.

I'll try and get pics up of it installed, but it looks just like the stock one only in black.

Well I got mine mast night and got it installed. Pretty easy process, remove the lid, remove the screws on the bottom of the lid, pull the staples in the old cover, put the new cover on.

A couple points, this cover is fake leather, not real (probably obvious from the price). It is not as thick as the OEM one.
I didnt' notice the foam that Pattycakes mentions, but maybe it's there and just compressed.
This cover is much thinner than the OEM one.
The curvature wasn't perfect, but it seems to have pulled tight.

I ended up putting the new one right on top of the old one, so using the old one as padding basically. This allowed the curvature to match better, but it made reattaching it to the plastic carrier much tough, and I really should go back and cut to old leather away from the corners so it'll fit better. Anyway, it looks pretty good so far. I will try to remember to update some pics once I get the interior put back together so I can get a pic of it in place.

I got mine in the mail this morning. I have the 2000 model console with the hard plastic lid. The fit didn't look like it was going to be very good on mine and there is no foam on the back side of the vinyl. I think I'm going to take mine to an upholstery shop and get them to install it and add a little bit of foam to it for comfort.

Hmm, is your lid stock? Im not sure why it wouldnt fit. And you can buy different types of foam if you look around. I will probably just cut strips of closed cell foam for sealing doors and line them side to side on the bottom of mine.

Hard to tell from the pictures, but how closely does the color match the old one? I still havent gotten mine in the mail yet!

Thanks a million for this post. I've wanted to get mine recovered in black vinyl to match my new black seats but the cost was too much.

I ended up ordering the Black Vinyl one for $19 from this same seller. Can't wait to see how well it is made and how it works out. I'm planning to put over top of existing cover as someone else did above.

Will post picture once received and installed.

Well, I still havn't put my interior back together, but I did compare the cover to the tan of my seats, and it is damn near exactly the same color. Very good color match to the seats. I am hoping to get my speakers re-wired and installed this weekend so I can put the interior back together then.

Yep. Mine is a 98. I got my cover in yesterday. Havent installed it yet but it is the right size

I just ordered one in black. My grey cover has a .25" cut on it. But i think black would match the 2 tone center console ok black and grey.

To add to the cargo cover . . . I ordered some of this faux leather in capuccino. Im planning on doing all my door trim, and a few other areas to give them a custom leather look and feel. Ive ordered from this company before and the faux leather products are really nice quality. I got my order in today, which included some 1/4 foam for insulating. Im gonna start working on the panels today. Pictures will come at some point in the future.
